BOXED, Colt, Trooper MK III, CAL: .22 LR, MFG: 1981, SN: Y40996, Double Action Revolver, 6'' barrel. The Colt Trooper MK III was introduced in 1969, in caliber 22LR, 22 WMR, 357 MAG or 38 SPL. This example is very desirable, chambered in .22 LR, which according to the Blue Book brings an additional 30% premium. The left side of barrel is stamped in two lines, ''TROOPER MK III .22 LONG RIFLE''. The gold Colt medallion checkered rubber grips are minty. The E-Nickel (Electric Nickel) finish is mint. Bore is mint. The frame holds a ''U'' notch rear sight & blade sight. Hanging tag still on gun. This gun comes in the original box, with owners manual. Comes with the colt purchase letter from Colt President, in the original SN matching wood grain box, with packaging, owners manual & paperwork. Box has storage wear, tears & split seams, with end flaps having been taped. FFL Req. - Value: 1000 to 2000
