SCARCE CASED, Colt, Model Python Electroless Nickel, CAL: 357 Magnum, MFG: 1993, SN: PY0827, Double Action Revolver, 8'' barrel. The Colt Python was introduced as a premium model in 1955, in caliber .357 Magnum, with some rare caliber variations produced along the way. The Python is built on the large I-frame & has a reputation for accuracy, smooth trigger pull, & a tight cylinder lock-up. It has a 6-shot swing-out cylinder & was available in Python blue, Royal blue, Python nickel & Python stainless steel finishes. Some firearm collectors & writers have described the Python as ''the finest production revolver ever made''. It has a wide serrated target hammer, ventilated rib, & fully adjustable target quality rear sights. The left side of barrel is stamped ''PYTHON .357 * .357 MAGNUM CTG * ''. The Rampant Colt gold medallion, checkered Pachmayr grips on this example are near mint. The Electroless Nickel finish is minty. This finish is sometimes also referred to as ''Royal Coltguard'' & ''E Nick''. Bore is mint. The satin finished top of the ventilated rib barrel holds a screw height adjusting ''U'' notch rear sight & black serrated blade front sight. This gun comes in a blue Colt hard case, with owners manual. FFL Req. - Value: 4000 to 6000
