Winchester, Model 1892, CAL: 38 WCF, MFG: 1906, SN: 348847, Lever Action Rifle, 24 1/4'' Round barrel. Full mag. The original straight grip wood stocks are excellent, with numerous minor contusions, scrapes & scratches to the original finish. The original metal finish on barrel & mag rates 80%, with areas of thinning starting to tone to a brown patina. The blue on the receiver has aged & toned to an even plum brown patina, with some remnants of original blue in more protected areas. Bore is good & bright, but with areas of roughness amongst thinning rifling. The rifle is fitted with an adjustable rear sight & pinch blade front sight. Buttstock carries a smooth crescent metal buttplate. Smooth tight action. Comes with a Cody Winchester Factory Records letter which confirms dates & configuration. A very nice original example & collectible. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 2000 to 4000
