RARE Winchester, Model 1895 SRC, CAL: .30 GOV'T.1906., MFG: 1915, SN: 191724 , Lever Action Rifle, 21 3/4'' Tapered round barrel. This rifle is stamped on both sides of the stock with ''U.C.CO.'' & the left side of the receiver is stamped with the rack # ''42''. Other auctions have attributed these rifles to be from the United Copper Company. The original wood stock & forearm are excellent. They carry all the original finish, with a few minor scrapes or contusions. The original metal blue finish on the barrel rates 95%, 80% on the mag box, while the receiver has worn mostly gun metal gray, with a thinning brown patina & some remains of blue in protected areas. Bore is excellent & bright. The barrel holds a military style rear ladder sight & pinned blade front sight. Stock carries a sliding trapdoor metal carbine buttplate. It carries the desirable saddle ring. This is an excellent original condition rifle, with an unknown history. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 2000 to 3500
