EARLY Winchester Model 71 Deluxe, CAL: marked 348 WCF, MFG: 1935, SN: 178, Lever Action Rifle, 24'' Round barrel, Rare early 3 digit first year, likely first month of production rifle & therefore also the more collectible long tang variety. The original checkered & capped pistol grip wood stock is excellent, with very few small handling marks to the original finish. Some of the finish on the stock has started to spider web. The original metal blue finish rates 99% overall, with a bit of tiny surface speckling on the receiver, not pitting. Bore is excellent. Attatched to the bolt is the rare & desirable bolt peep sight. The barrel has a blank filed rear dovetail & a hooded ramp blade front sight. Buttstock carries a checkered metal buttplate. Sling provisions.
