Winchester, Model 88, marked .308 WIN., MFG. 1964-73, SN: 199586A, Lever Action Rifle, 22'' Round barrel, The original checkered & capped pistol grip wood stock is excellent, with some light thinning or flaking to the original finish at the buttend of the stock, otherwise very few other handling marks. This example has the basket weave checkering, along with the oak leaves & acorns. The original metal blue finish rates 98% overall. Bore is excellent. The receiver carries a Western Field 15-4x20 scope, while the barrel carries the factory folding rear & ramp front sight without the hood. The buttstock carries the original plastic buttplate. Factory sling loops. Original detachable mag. An very nice original example, which would make for a great vintage hunting rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 800 to 1500
