Uberti/Numrich Arms, Buffalo Rifle, CAL: 45-70, MFG: N/A, SN: NSN, Single Shot Rolling Block Rifle, 28'' Heavy octagon barrel. This is a replica of a Remington Rolling Block rifle. From the period 1971-2000 Uberti produced reproduction rolling block actions & Numrich Arms Company (primarily a parts supplier) supplied kits to put on existing Remington Rolling Block actions. These kits consisted of either a full octagon (Buffalo) or (Creedmoor) half-round half-octagon barrel in 45-70, buttstock, forend, buttplate & any other necessary parts except a receiver. We believe this gun to be a collaboration of a reproduction rolling block action & a Numrich Arms kit. There are no markings on this gun other than on the barrel, which reads ''NUMRICH ARMS 45-70 BUFFALO WEST HURLEY N.Y''. The checkered & cheeked straight grip wood stocks is excellent. The select grade stocks display beautiful grain & a high gloss finish, with minor handling marks. The metal blue finish rates 97% overall. Bore is excellent. The receiver is fitted with a screw height adjusting rear tang sight, while the barrel carries a blank filled rear dovetail & an adjustable windage & level front sight. The barrel is tapped & drilled, with (3) screw filled holes for potential scope mounting. Stock carries a Pachmayr ventilated recoil pad. Belly of stock & forend carry gold tone fillers where previous sling studs likely resided. A beautiful & well made rifle, with high quality sights. FFL Req. - Value: 1000 to 2000
