Remington, Model 14, .25 REM, MFG. 1919, SN:65386, Pump Action Take-down Rifle, 22'' barrel. The original flat pistol grip wood stocks are fair, having a couple of cracks at the wrist with a wrap to offer stability. The original forearm is very good & solid.
They both carry the original worn thin finish, with minor scratches & contusions. The forearm is missing a screw on the right side. The receiver has a soldered metal plate at the rear of the receiver which appears to be part of the stock repair. The original metal blue finish rates 70% on the receiver & barrel, 50% on the mag tube. Top of receiver has been tapped with three open holes from previous scope mounting. The barrel carries an updated adjustable rear sight & a standard front sight. The stock carries the original tear drop metal buttplate. Bore is good & clean, with some light roughness amongst strong rifling. Tight smooth action. A well used, but rare 25 cal rifle, one that appears to function well & with lots of life left. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 200 to 500
