Winchester, Model 70, CAL: 300 H&H Magnum, MFG: 1954, SN: 295255, Bolt Action Rifle, 26'' barrel. The original checkered & flat pistol grip Monte Carlo wood stock is very good & solid. The stock has been shortened to a 12 5/6'' LOP over pad & the factory sling swivel moved forward 1'' & open sling hole filled. The original finish has some thinning at the wrist & carry points, along with other minor scrapes, scuffs & scratches. The original metal blue finish on the barrel & receiver rates 90% overall, with additional loss to the floorplate & some speckling on the barrel. Bore is excellent & bright. The receiver is factory tapped & drilled, & mounted with a Nikon Monarch 4-12X42mm scope, while the barrel holds a single leaf folding rear sight & ramp elevated hooded blade front sight. Stock carries a ventilated recoil pad. Factory sling loops. A desirable Pre-64 Mod 70 & a popular caliber for big game hunting.. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1000 to 2000
