Winchester, Model 70, CAL: 30 GOV'T 06, MFG: 1948, SN: 81382, Bolt Action Rifle, 24'' barrel. The original checkered & flat pistol grip Monte Carlo stock is very good & solid. There is light overall wear, with contusions, scrapes & dings to the original finish. The metal blue finish on the barrel rates 85%. The factory receiver finish rates 95%. Bore is excellent. The receiver is tapped & drilled with (6) open screw holes for scope or receiver sight mounting, (4) on the top & (2) on the left rear side. The barrel has a open rear dovetail & a ramp elevated beaded blade front sight. Rear sling loop present, front sling loop missing. Stock carries a checkered metal buttplate with rust spotting. Stock has been shortened, with a 12'' LOP. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 500 to 900
