RARE Winchester, Model 90, NICKELED SWISS BUTTPLATE, 2nd variation, .22 SHORT, Cal., MFG. 1902, SN: 145092, Pump Action Rifle, 24'' Octagon barrel. This is a special order 1890 as they are rarely found with NICKELED SWISS BUTTPLATES. According to the consignor, only 22 1890 rifles were produced with the rare Swiss buttplate & most of those are deluxe models. The original straight grip wood stocks are excellent. The stocks carry the original finish, with minor handling marks & light contusions. The factory metal blue finish 95% on barrel & mag, with some light pitting on a single barrel flat on the right side near the muzzle end. The receiver blue rates 85%, with some speckled loss on the right side toning some as it thins. The rifle is fitted with an upgraded sight package, with a Lyman tang sight, adjustable rear & flip up globe sight, with ivory bead. Bore is very good, with some light wear or abrasions.
