Winchester, Model 1890, 2nd variation, .22 WRF, Cal., MFG. 1903, SN: 177507, Pump Action Rifle, 24'' Octagon barrel. Special ordered WRF rifle, with letter confirmed ''Plain, Pistol grip stock''. The very unusual, non-checkered, capped pistol grip wood stocks are excellent, with very good original finish thinning at the carry points. There are minor handling marks, thin scratches & dings. The metal blue finish has 75% coverage of thinning & toning gray/brown finish. The rifle is fitted with standard adjustable rear & small blade front sights. Bore is good, with areas of pitting & roughness amongst strong rifling. Crescent metal buttplate. Smooth tight action. Comes with a Cody Winchester Factory Records letter, which confirms the configuration & dates. This is a rare & unusually configured collectible 1890 rifle.* FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 2500 to 4000
