VERY RARE Winchester, Model 1900, .22 Short & Long Cal., MFG. 1900-02, SN: None, Bolt Action Rifle, 18'' round barrel, RARE CHECKERED & ''WINCHESTER'' STAMPED BUTT, which shows some smoothing, but still very legible. The original straight grip wood stock is very good & solid, with minor scrapes, contusions & handling marks to the original finish. There is also a 3'' grain crack at the forend tip on the right side. The original metal finish has fully toned to a smooth & even chocolate brown patina. Bore is fair, with visible rifling amongst cleaned pitting & roughness. Original sights. Again, this is the rare variation with the checkering & ''WINCHESTER'' stamping on the butt of the stock. A great little original & collectors' gun. Stamped butt adds 100% collectors' value. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 800 to 1500
