Winchester, Model 57 Target, .22 LONG R. Cal., MFG: 1927-36, SN: 29658, Bolt Action Rifle, Mag fed, 22'' barrel, with barrel band. The original flat pistol grip wood stock is excellent & solid, with minor handling marks, scratches & contusions to the original finish. There is a small 12''x16/4'' triangular spliced wood repair on the right side of the stock at the buttplate, nicely done. The original metal blue finish rates 95% overall, with additional loss on the barrel band which is toning to a brown patina. Bore is excellent. Military style target rifle, with correct Lyman peep sight, factory sling swivels & ''Winchester'' stamped mag. Barrel fitted with an altered tall blade front & folding leaf rear sights. Stock carries a checkered steel buttplate. An overall excellent condition rifle & very collectible. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 500 to 1000
