Winchester, Model 57 Target, .22 LONG R. Cal., MFG: 1927-36, SN: 17129, Bolt Action Rifle, Mag fed, 22'' barrel, with barrel band. The original flat pistol grip wood stock is very good & solid. but with numerous small handling marks, scratches, contusions & gouges to the thinned original finish. There is a small missing edge chip at the right side of forend tip The metal blue finish has worn, thinned & toned to about 40% coverage of a brown patina. Bore is very good & bright. Military style target rifle, with correct Lyman peep sight, factory sling swivels, & ''W'' stamped mag. Barrel fitted with a small blade front & folding leaf rear sights. Stock carries a checkered steel buttplate. A well used, but still original & collectible rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 300 to 600
