Winchester, Model 57 Target, .22 LONG R. Cal., MFG: 1928, SN: 4960, Bolt Action Rifle, Mag fed, 22'' barrel, with barrel band. The original flat pistol grip wood stock is very good & solid, with an added layer of finish over the original finish & several minor handling marks, scratches & contusions. There is a bit of wood fill along part of the edge between of the stock & buttplate. There is also a 1/2x7 1/2'' splice repair on the left side of stock in front of the Lyman receiver sight. The metal blue finish has worn, thinned & toned to a gun metal gray, with spotty areas of brown patina. Bore is very good & bright. Military style target rifle, with a Lyman 42 SW peep sight, factory sling swivels, & ''W'' stamped mag. Barrel fitted with a replaced tall blade front & folding leaf rear sights. Stock carries a checkered steel buttplate. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 300 to 600
