U.S Springfield, M1922M1 Training Rifle, CAL: 22, MFG: 1929 (barrel date), SN: 18754, Bolt Action Rifle, 24 1/2'' barrel. The original flat pistol grip wood stock is excellent. There are minor handling marks to the finish. The military style metal finish rates 97% overall, with light speckling on the receiver. The top of the receiver is marked '' U.S. SPRINGFIELD ARMORY M1922M1 CAL.22 18754 ''. The muzzle end of the barrel is marked in three lines ''S.A. (Flaming Bomb) 8-29''. Bore is excellent. The rifle is fitted with the original Lyman 48 adjustable rear target sight & a elevated hooded post front sight. Additionally, this rifle holds a Lyman Targetspot 10 Power scope on dovetail blocks. Stock holds the original thick checkered metal buttplate. The rifle still carries the original leather sling, connected to the front barrel band & rear sling loop. A very nice example of a 1922M1 Training Rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1000 to 1500
