W. Richards, 8 Ga, MFG: Pre 1898, S/N: 12, Break Single Shotgun, 30'' Laminated steel half octagon half round barrel. The checkered straight wrist stock is very good with nicks, dings, dents, scratches, & wear from use/age, worn checkering, hole in belly of stock for pendent, stock shows signs of well use out in the field. The metal on the barrel has toned to a brown patina with spots of gun metal gray, laminated steel patten still present, the metal on the receiver has mostly toned to a brown patina with big spots of gun metal gray, no visible marking on the outside of the gun. Bore is good with roughness & light pitting. Barrel holds a bead front sight. Stock carries a metal buttplate with wear & brown patina. Hammer has some play, Lockup is tight & has no play. LOP: 14 1/2'', DAH: 2 7/8'', DAC: 2 1/16''. Laminated steel barrels are not safe to shoot smokeless loads or steel shot out of. Antique No FFL Req. - Value: 1000 to 3000
