L.C. Smith Maker of Baker Gun, Model: Maker B Grade, 12 Ga, MFG: 1884-88, S/N: 7000B, Break SxS Shotgun, 30'' Damascus barrels. The checkered Semi-pistol grip wood stock is good, stock has small nicks, dings, dents, & wear from use/age, checkering has been well worn but still present, 4'' crack on top of wrist left side, emanating from the receiver, small chunk of stock missing on right side of stock on top of wrist, small chip at toe of stock, buttplate comes off wood near toe. The barrels has a gun metal gray with brown patina, rust speckling & damascus pattern, the receiver is a gun metal gray with gray/brown patina. Left & right side of receiver is marked ''BAKER PAT'' with some light ornamental engravings, top of barrel rib is marked ''L . C . SMITH MAKER OF BAKER GUN SYRACUSE N.Y. DAMASCUS STEEL''. Bore is good with roughness & light pitting. Barrel rib holds a front bead sight. Stock carries a steel buttplate with brown patina. Lockup is tight & has no play. LOP: 14 1/2'', DAH: 3 1/4'', DAC: 2''. Damascus barrels are not safe to shoot smokeless loads or steel shot out of. Antique No FFL Req. - Value: 300 to 600
