F. Jacquemin, Sideplated Boxlock Shotgun, CAL: 12GA, MFG: 1910-24, SN: 702, Break Action SxS Shotgun, 26 3/4'' barrel. The original checkered straight grip wood stock is excellent, having been professionally refinished. The stocks display beautiful deep tones in the grain pattern. The checkering on the straight grip appears to be re-traced, as it doesn't match the checkering pattern on the forend, which we believe to be original. There are only minor handling marks to the finish. There is an unknown gold knight crest on the forend & a blank silver oval nameplate behind the rear sling loop. The metal blue finish on the barrels rates 85% & the receiver has fully worn to metal gray. The trigger guard, break lever, safety switch & forend metal components appear to be re-blued. The receiver, break lever, trigger guard, barrel ends & forend metal components all display intricate floral/ornamental engraving. The sides & bottom of the receiver display game scenes in a forest setting. The receiver is entirely metal gray. Bores are excellent, with intermittent light roughness. The solid matted rib holds a transparent rail front sight. Factory sling loops. Stock has a solid red rubber recoil pad. A nicely restored French shotgun. Action locks up tight.
