RARE Winchester, Model 1897 BLACK DIAMOND TWO BARREL SET, 12 Ga., MFG. 1911, SN: 541852, Two barrel Pump Action Shotgun, 30'' Full & 26'' Cyl matted barrels, with SN's matching. Black Diamond, take-down, second variation. The original fancy high grade checkered & straight grip wood stocks are very good & solid, with a higher figured grain. The stocks show numerous small or minor scratches, scrapes & contusions to the thinning original finish, which has darkened with use & oils. Checkering worn almost smooth in areas. The metal surfaces carry a professional refinish, with 95% coverage. Some pitting, abrasions & polishing lines found under the finish. Matted receiver top. Bores are excellent, bright & shiny. Single front beads found on the matted barrels. Stock carries a Winchester plastic buttplate. A well used, but nice appearance on this high grade two barrel example.
