Rock Island Arsenal, Model: 1903, Cal: 30-06, MFG:1920. S/N: 385073. Bolt Action Rifle. 23 5/8'' Round Barrel. The straight wrist wooden stock is good, stock has been sanded down & no original finish remains, has light scratches, dings, dents, chips & wear from use/age, small chip in stock in top of stock by Butt plate, left side of stock above trigger is marked with us army ordnance crest & ''FJA'', ''P'' in circle marked into bottom of wrist of stock, bottom of stock in front of magazine is marked, ''8'' in circle, ''8'' in triangle, ''5'' in square & ''10'' in square, cartouches, stock is missing the upper handguard, barrel bands, & bayonet lug. The metal finish rates 80% overall with small spots of thinned bluing. Top of receiver is marked, ''U.S.'', ''ROCK ISLAND'', ''ARSENAL'', ''MODEL 1903'', S/N, Top end of barrel is marked, ''S A'', flaming bomb, ''7-28'', Remington made bolt. Bore is very good, bright with light roughness, 4 groove rifling. Blade front sight with, windage & elevation adjustable U notch ladder rear sight, marked 4 to 27 on top. Missing Butt plate. Rear bottom sling swivel. This would make a nice project rifle to compete into a full rifle with nothing being cut or destroyed. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 400 to 800
