Colt, New Service, CAL: 44 Cal. (44-40), MFG: 1904, SN: 12113, Double Action Revolver, 7 1/2'' barrel. The checkered on the ''COLT'' plastic grips has worn mostly smooth & the initials ''SWS'' are carved into the right grip & the date ''JULY 1919'' into the left grip. The bottom corners of each grip have a 1/4'' missing chip. The original metal blue finish has worn mostly gun metal gray, with thinned blue & a thin brown patina remain in frame & cylinder on protected areas. Bore remains very good & bright. The barrel holds a blade front sight. Butt missing lanyard swivel. Action & cylinder are tight & timing functions properly. An original, well used & loved New Service with lots of stories to tell & lots of quality life remaining. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 400 to 800
