Colt, Python, CAL: 357 MAG, MFG: 1971, SN: E30211, Double Action Revolver, 6'' barrel. The Colt Python was introduced as a premium model in 1955, in caliber .357 Magnum. The Python is built on the large I-frame & has a reputation for accuracy, smooth trigger pull, & a tight cylinder lock-up. It has a 6-shot swing-out cylinder & was available in Python blue, Royal blue, Python nickel & Python stainless steel finishes. Some firearm collectors & writers have described the Python as ''the finest production revolver ever made''. It has a wide serrated target hammer, ventilated rib, & fully adjustable target quality rear sights. The left side of barrel is stamped in two lines ''PYTHON 357 * .357 MAGNUM CTG * ''. The upgraded gold logo medallion Pachmayr ''GRIPPER'' rubber grips are excellent. The high polish blued finish rates 90%, with holster wear at & around the muzzle, the cylinder & sides of the frame. Bore is excellent. The frame holds a screw height adjusting ''U'' notch rear sight & the ventilated rib holds a serrated front blade sight (missing orange insert). This pistol would be a great addition to a shooters collection. FFL Req. - Value: 1400 to 2000
