HAFDASA, Ballester Molina ''Policia De La Capital'', CAL: 45 ACP, MFG: 1938-53, SN: 25092, Semi Auto Pistol, 5'' barrel. The STAR emblem checkered hard rubber grips, with finger grooves are excellent. The nickel finish is very good, but with numerous small surface blemishes, areas worn dull from use, small spots flaking & areas of pitting under the nickel finish. The SN can be found on the left side of the backstrap flat & a secondary number ''1384'' can be found on the top of the slide. Bore is very good & bright, with consistent minor spotting amongst proud rifling. The slide carries notch & blade sights. All matching SN on the slide, bolt, frame & magazine. The Ballester Molina was designed to serve alongside the Modelo 1927 that was also in Argentine service. It bears a close resemblance to the Colt M1911A1. The Ballester Molina & the M1911 share an identical seven-round magazine, barrel, recoil spring, & barrel bushing. Many other parts appear identical at first glance, but only the barrel & magazine are interchangeable. Comes in a correctly labeled cardboard box, with extra recoil spring.
