Winchester, Model 1892, CAL: 44 WCF, MFG: 1907, SN: 378593, Lever Action Rifle, 24 1/4'' Round barrel. Full mag. The original straight grip wood stocks are very good, with several minor scratches, scrapes & contusions. There is a chip repair at the right corner of the wrist & receiver & a large gouge on the right side of the forend. There is an added layer of finish over the original finish which has given the wood a unique reddish tone. The original metal finish on barrel & mag rates 90%, 50% on the receiver. The case-hardened lever & hammer display muted case-colors. Bore is excellent & bright. The rifle is fitted with an adjustable rear sight & pinch blade front sight. Buttstock carries a smooth crescent metal buttplate. Smooth tight action. A nice condition 1892, with an above average bore in the desired 44 caliber. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 2000 to 3000
