WONDERFUL Winchester, Model 92 SRC, marked 44 WCF, MFG. 1893, SN: 16239, Lever Action Carbine, 20'' Round Barrel, Full mag. Early 2nd year production antique SRC. The replaced buttstock & original forend are excellent & solid. They carry the original finish, with numerous light to small handling blemishes, scuffs or contusions. The left side of the stock carries a 1/4'' rack or inventory number ''016'' along the edge of the buttplate. The barrel & mag carry 90% of original factory blue, toning a bit grayish brown as it thins. The receiver carries 70% original blue, with typical striation loss & wear from the saddle ring rubbing. The case-hardened hammer & lever still display the remains of case-colors. Bore is very good, with some roughness amongst strong rifling. Barrel fitted with a three leaf rear sight & carbine box front sight. Metal carbine buttplate. Original saddle ring. Tight action. Comes with a Cody Winchester Letter confirming configuration & date. A great little carbine in original condition & very desirable in 44 WCF..* NO FFL Req. - Value: 7000 to 12000
