Winchester, Model 1894 TAKE-DOWN, CAL: 38-55, MFG: 1909, SN: 432797, Lever Action Rifle, 26'' Octagon barrel, Full mag. The original wood stocks are excellent, with a several minor handling marks, scuffs & contusions to the original finish, which is thinning at the carry points. The original factory blue is 85% on barrel & mag tube, while the receiver displays a mix of 25% remaining blue & the rest worn to thin brown patina & gun metal gray. The case-hardened lever & hammer have worn gray, with very faint case-colors. Bore is excellent. The barrel is fitted with a factory adjustable rear & pinch blade front sights. Metal crescent buttplate. Tight smooth action. An very nice original take-down rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 2000 to 4000
