Winchester, Model 64A, marked 30-30 WIN, MFG. 1972-73, SN: 3595315, Lever Action Rifle, 24'' Round barrel, mag holds 7 rounds. This is one of the rarer & fewer made Winchester models produced, with an estimated 12,000 rifles. The 64A was a direct copy of the 1871-1971 M-94 NRA Centennial Rifle commemorative, less the NRA's engraving & medallion, & is a lot like the pre-64 Model 64 in style, but not exact. The model 64 was made from 1933-57 produced only 66,783 total rifles. The original pistol grip wood stocks on this example are very good & solid, although the original finish shows lots of wear or flaking along with other scuffs, dings & scratches. The original metal blue finish is 90% on barrel & mag, but just 25% on the receiver due to flaking & wear loss. Bore is excellent. The rifle carries an adjustable Lyman receiver peep sight, a blank filled rear dovetail & a front ramp sight, missing the hood. Stock carries a checkered Winchester plastic buttplate. Factory sling provisions. A fairly rare low production rifle & popular in the 30-30 as a deer rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 600 to 1000
