Custom Winchester, Model 70, CAL: 330 DAKOTA, MFG: 1967, SN: 847270, Bolt Action Rifle, 24'' tapered round barrel. This rifle left the factory as a 338 WIN MAG, as indicated on the barrel roll stamp, but has been professionally rebored to 330 Dakota, turned 180 degrees & is now thus marked on the left side of the barrel. The factory cheeked, checkered & capped pistol grip walnut Monte carlo stock is excellent, as lightly sanded & nicely refinished. There are a few handling rubs or marks to the high gloss finish. The original metal blue finish rates 98% on the barrel, while the matte grayish black finish on the receiver also rates 98%. Bore is excellent. The rifle is fitted with a Bushnell Sportview scope, while the barrel no longer carries open sights, but the provisions have filler screws. Jeweled bolt, with matching hand etched SN. The buttstock carries a thick Kick Ezz recoil pad, with a 13 7/8'' LOP over pad. Sling loops carry a nylon sling. An overall excellent custom caliber rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 700 to 1000
