Winchester, Model 70 Classic Sharpshooter II Tactical Rifle, CAL: .300 Win Mag, MFG: 1996-98, SN: G145754, Bolt Action Rifle, 26'' Heavy barrel, These were custom shop built rifles that incorporated Schhnieder barrel, with 1-10 @26'' & a traditional HS Precision stock made with their now very familiar kevlar, fiberglass & carbon fiber synthetic materials. The first version of the Classic Sharpshooter used the push feed design while, the Classic Sharpshooter II uses the claw extractor version of the action. The near vertical pistol grip black composite stock on this example is excellent, with few tiny handling marks to the original finish. All of the stainless steel surfaces are factory bead blaster to provide a matte finish to the bare steel, which remains excellent The bore is excellent & bright. The receiver holds scope blocks & no open sights provisions on the barrel. The right side of the barrel is marked ''CLASSIC SHARPSHOOTER'', with ''WINCHESTER MODEL 70 300 WIN. MAG.'' & ''--MADE IN NEW HAVEN CT U.S.A.--'' on the left. Receiver is simply marked ''WINCHESTER'' on the left, with the SN on the right. The right side also has a flaming bomb on the receiver & barrel, along with a shield with the letters ''BLE'' inside & a *ZS''. Stock carries a Decelerator recoil pad, sling studs & a bipod stud. An excellent overall Winchester Sharpshooter II & a classic collectible bench rifle. FFL Req. - Value: 1500 to 2500
