Weatherby, Vanguard, CAL: .243, MFG: 1970-84, SN: V03236, Bolt Action Rifle, 24'' barrel, including the ported muzzle break. This is a Weatherby Vanguard South Gate California receiver, the original Japanese made barrel & the original stock. The original cheeked, checkered & capped pistol grip wood stock is excellent. It features the white liner contrasting rose wood forend tip & grip cap with diamond inlay. There are a number of small scuffs, dings & contusions to the original high gloss finish. The metal blue finish rates 95% overall, with the finish on the receiver toning plum. The finish on the floorplate & trigger guard has toned greenish brown. Bore is excellent. The receiver carries a Tasco 3-9x40 scope, with flip-up caps, & no open sight provisions. Sling studs. Stock carries the original white & black spacer Weatherby solid recoil pad.
