Colt Lightning, Medium Frame Saddle Ring Carbine, CAL: 32, MFG: 1895, SN: 77078, Pump Action Rifle, 20 1/4'' Round barrel, Full mag. The straight grip wood stock & smooth forend are excellent. The stock appears to be lightly sanded & refinished long ago, while the forend carries the original finish. There are small dings, scratches & contusions. The original metal finish has worn thin, with some toning to a spotty brown layer of patina & with about 30% coverage on the barrel, 40% on receiver & mag tube. A few spotty areas of light pitting on the barrel. Bore is good, with spotty areas of roughness or scarring amongst strong rifling. Rifle is fitted with a flip-up ladder rear sight & a small box blade front sight. Original saddle ring. Stock carries a carbine metal buttplate. An original & rare example of a Colt saddle ring carbine.* Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 2500 to 4000
