Colt Lightning, Marked .32 CAL., MFG. 1885, SN: 6059, Pump Action Rifle, 26'' Round barrel, Full mag. Medium Frame. British proof stamping on the left side of both barrel & receiver. The factory stocks are excellent, with a smooth forend. They appear to carry the original finish with minor handling marks & light contusions. There are two tight 1'' stress cracks on the belly of the stock that emanate from the lower tang, but are negligible. The original metal blue finish on receiver is 80%, 60% on the barrel & mag, as the areas of thinning & loss tone to a brown patina. Bore is very good, but does have some spotty areas of roughness amongst strong rifling. Barrel carries an adjustable rear & Lyman half moon front sight with ivory bead. Crescent metal buttplate. Overall, very nice antique pump rifle. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 2000 to 3000
