O.F. Mossberg & Sons IMC, Model 44 U.S. Target Rifle, ''U.S. PROPERTY'' marked, CAL: 22 L.R, MFG: 1943-44, SN: 131768, Bolt Action Rifle, 26 1/4'' Round barrel. U.S. PROPERTY stamped on barrel & receiver. These rifle were utilized by all branches of the military for target training. The original flat pistol grip wood stock is excellent & solid. It carries an added thin layer of tinted red finish over the original finish. They display areas of thinned finish, with several small scrapes, scratches & dings. The pistol grip has a plastic finger grip & trigger guard. The metal blue finish rates 90% overall. Bore is excellent. The receiver has the correct receiver peep sight, while the barrels holds a small blade front sight. Buttstock carries a metal buttplate & sling loops, Correct detachable mag.
