C.G.Bonehill, 8 Ga, MFG: 1887-96, S/N: 93869, Break SxS Shotgun, 40 1/4'' Damascus barrels. The original checkered round knob semi-pistol grip wood stocks are very good & solid, despite a 3'' stress crack from upper tang to the left sideplate. There are contusions, scratches, & normal wear from use & age, & some added oils. There is a small chip at the toe & silver shield in belly of stock. The barrels have toned to a brown patina, with faint remnants of the damascus thumb print pattern remaining. The case-hardened receiver, frame, side plates, trigger guard & hammers all exhibit ornamental & border hand engravings. Bores are very good & bright. Barrel rib carries a bead front sight. Stock holds an engraved widow's peak smooth metal buttplate. Lockup is tight. LOP: 13 3/4'' to front trigger. Damascus barrels are not safe to shoot smokeless loads or steel shot out of. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 1000 to 2000
