W. & H. Hudson, Underlever Shotgun, CAL: 8 GA, MFG: 1890's, in business 1893-1900's, SN: 3486, Underlever Break Action Shotgun, 35 7/8'' Belgian Fine Laminated Steel barrels. W. & H. Hudson was a Belgian gun manufacturer, who sold these shotguns to various American importers & hardware companies. The original, checkered round knob stock is very good. The stock has been sanded & carries a thick refinish. There is an edge chip at the toe, alongside contusions, scratches & scrapes. The belly of the stock carries a blank initial plate. The laminated steel barrels have toned to a brown patina. The receiver & sideplates have worn mostly gun metal gray, with spotty brown patina. The solid rib is stamped ''Belgian Fine Laminated Steel''. Bores are very good, with intermittent roughness & striations, but could be cleaned & polished. The solid rib holds a single bead. Stock carries a smooth metal widow's peak buttplate. Notice: Twisted barrels are not safe to shoot smokeless powder or steel shot out of. LOP: 13 5/8''. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 1000 to 2500
