Springfield Armory. Model: M1D SNIPER. CAL: 30-06. MFG:1942. S/N: 1153440. Semi-Auto Rifle. 24'' Barrel. The semi-pistol grip walnut stock is very good, has light nicks, dings, scratches, & wear from use/age, ''P'' in circle cartouche on bottom of pistol grip. Barrel finish rates 90%, with small scratches. Receiver retains 85% of black parkerized finish, has spots of normal wear. Rear of receiver is marked ''U.S. RIFLE'', ''CAL. .30M1'', ''SPRINGFIELD ARMORY'', S/N. Barrel is marked ''T'', ''S-?-3-52'', & ''P''. Bore is very good, bright with some roughness. Barrel holds the standard winged blade front sight with fully adjustable aperture rear sight. Mounted with what appears to be a fully original M84 scope & is marked ''TELESCOPE M84'', SERIAL NO. 6123'', top dial cover has been broken off. Leather laced cheek rest marked ''MRT'', ''2-52''. Checkered steel trapdoor buttplate, with light wear, has original correct flash hider, comes with correct green canvas sling. This rifle appears to be all orginal & is a correct authentic M1D sniper rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 3000 to 6000
