Inland DIV, Model M1A1 Carbine, Cal: .30 Carbine, MFG: 1942-45, S/N: 802038, Semi-auto rifle, 18'' barrel. The pistol grip stock is excellent with little to no wear, faint Springfield arsenal crossed cannons crest on right side of pistol grip, has a steel wire folding stock. The grey parkerized metal finish rates 85% overall with areas of wear, has deep cleaned pitting on top of bolt. Rear of receiver is marked with ''INLAND DIV'', & S/N, front of receiver is marked ''U.S. CARBINE'', ''CAL .30M1'', top of barrel markings are heavily worn & faded. Bore is good, bright, minor rifling wear, & areas of pitting/roughness. Blade front sight with protective wings, has the updated windage & elevation adjustable rear aperture sight marked 1 to 3. checkered folding steel butt plate. Side sling mounts. Missing the oiler bottle. The rifle also has the updated flag safety. Comes with correct WW2 era M4 PAL bayonet & sheath/frog & one 15 Rd. mag. The M1A1 carbine was specially designed for the New US Paratroopers in WW2 & only manufactured by the Inland DIV. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 2500 to 4500
