Manufacture d'armas de Saint Etienne (MAS), Model: MLE 1936, Cal: 7.5x54mm, MFG: 1944-45, S/N: L59603, Bolt action Rifle, 22 3/4'' barrel. The semi-pistol grip 2 piece stock is excellent with little to no wear. The grey parkerized metal finish rates 90% with light scratches on receiver. Left side of receiver is marked ''MAS MLE1936'', S/N, & importer marks, top of receiver is marked ''EBG''. Bore is very good, bright with minor rifling wear. The barrel holds a Block/blade front sight with hood, Tangent aperture rear sight marked 2 to 12. stock carries a steel parkerized butt plate, side sling mounts. Comes with period correct leather sling, has the integral rod bayonet. A excellent example of the most prolific ''Modern'' military rifle the French had at the beginning of the second world war.
