Tula, Model: SVT-40, Cal: 7.62x54mmR, MFG: 1941, S/N: nB1218, Semi-auto rifle, 24 1/2'' barrel. The semi-pistol grip wood stock is very good with many plug wood repairs all don't likely at a arsenal when it was re-furbished after the war along with it being lightly sanded & refinished, S/N marked in left cheek of stock, various letter in circle proof/cartouches on right side of stock. The metal finish rates 90% as being re-finished at a arsenal. Left side of receiver is marked with S/N, top of receiver is marked with the Tula star, ''1941'', & another proof, right side of receiver is marked with proofs. The bolt has the S/N electro penciled onto the bolt handle, was done when it was re-furbished & is likely a forced match & not the original bolt. Has the third & lasts model of safety, S/N mismatched magazine. Has the scope mount rails on rear of receiver which is how all early SVT-40's were made. Bore is good, thinned rifling with intermittent roughness throughout. Barrel holds a hooded post front sight & a tangent U-Notch rear sight marked 1 to 15, rifle also has what appears to be a reproduction scope mount & a original 1941 dated PU scope, scope has been refurbished by some comi-block state with a date of 1968, scope has rust pitting. Blued steel buttplate with light wear. Has cleaning rod & correct sling. A very hard rifle to come by in the states that is highly collectable. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 2000 to 4000
