Carl Gustafs Stads Gevarsfaktori, Model: M96, Cal: 6.5x55mm, MFG: 1909, S/N: 255921, bolt action rifle, 29'' barrel. The straight wrist wood stock is good, stock has been sanded & oiled, heavy oil stains on wood by butt plate, wood has been heavily sanded by magazine, brass unit disc embedded into right cheek of stock, unit disc reads ''9/I.1'', ''NO616'', which means this rifle was used by the 9th company, 1st infantry, rifle #616. The metal finish rates 90%overall with light wear & scratches. Top of receiver is marked with a crown, ''CARL GUSTAFS STADS GEVARSFAKTORI'', ''1909'', end of barrel stamped with importer marks. S/N matched bolt, magazine floor plate, & butt plate. Bore is excellent, bright with strong rifling. Squared blade front sight with a stepped tangent/ladder rear sight marked 3 to 6 on top of ladder & 7 to 20 on back of ladder. Steel butt plate with patina & cleaned pitting. Bottom sling loops, has cleaning rods. The Swedish Mauser are know to be some of the best quality built Mauser's ever made & with the excellent bore this would make a excellent shooter.
