Nagoya Arsenal, Type 99 ''Last Ditch'', Cal 7.7x58mm, MFG: 1939-45, S/N: 32050, 11th Series, Bolt action rifle, 25 1/2''. The semi-pistol grip wood stock is fair, stock has a complete break around wrist of stock & has nicks, dings, scratches, & wear from use/age, notches in top & bottom of stock, stock appears to have a ''duffle cut'' under the rear barrel band. The metal finish rates 75% with light wear, rough machining marks visible through finish which is normal for a last ditch gun, left side of receiver is marked with S/N & arsenal stamp, top of receiver is marked with chrysanthemum that has been ground off, S/N mismatched bolt, rifle is missing the magazine spring & follower. Bore is very good, bright with one spot of roughness near muzzle. Barleycorn front sight with protective ears, Fixed aperture rear sight, rear sight has been banged up & is damaged. Wooden Butt plate secured with three nails. Side sling mounts. A good example of the rushed production of the type 99 at the end of WW2. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 100 to 250
