Colt, U.S Army Model 1917, CAL: 45, MFG: 1919, SN: 257881, Double Action Revolver, 5 1/2'' barrel. The top of the barrel has a two line address ''COLT'S PT. F. A. MFG CO HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A'', ''PAT'D AUG 5 1884, JUNE 5 1900, JULY 4 1905''. The left side of the barrel is marked ''COLT D.A. 45'' & the bottom of the barrel is marked ''UNITED STATES PROPERTY'' The left side of the frame has the Rampant Colt logo above the left grip & the left side of the frame is marked with an ''eagle head/S20'' above the cylinder release. The butt of the revolver is marked ''U.S ARMY MODEL 1917 No 106002''. The replaced wood grips are excellent. The metal finish rates 95% overall, with blue present within the nicks & dings on the metal surface. Bore is excellent & bright. Square notch rear groove & dorsal fin blade front sight. Lanyard loop present. FFL or C&R Req - Value: 800 to 1400
