Colt, Detective Special Post-War 2nd Issue, CAL: 38 SPL, MFG: 1950, SN: 552665, Double Action Revolver, 2'' barrel. The original Colt medallion checkered plastic grips are excellent. There were three different series of grips used on the Detective Special line: Plastic Grips from 1947-54, Wood Grips from 1955-65, & Wraparound Wood Grips from 1966-72. The original metal blue finish rates 95% overall. Bore is excellent, with mirrored finish. Square notch rear sight & serrated blade front sight. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 700 to 1200
