US, M3 Infrared Sniperscope with case, battery pack, foregrip & other accessories, This is one of the earliest iterations of Infrared scope, the name Sniperscope in the Official documents was to hide the fact that it was a Infrared scope because it was not a true ''Sniper'' scope, it was designed to help spot targets at night, it was designed to be mounted on the M1 Carbine & it could be used by night sentry's to lookout for night time raids & also be used to direct machine gun & rifle fire at night with tracers. Side plate on scope is marked ''CORPS OF ENGINEERS U. S. ARMY'', ''TELESCOPE'', ''SNIPERSCOPE, INFRARED, 20,000 VOLTS'', ''AMERICAN OPTICAL CO.'', ''BUFFALO, N.Y.'', ''P.O. NO 27-43200-03 DATED 6-23-51'', ''SERIAL NO. M3. 7739 .51'', ''STOCK LIST NO. 19-8416,500-200''. Scope is excellent with only miner scratches/wear, scope is untested & not know if it works. Grade: Excellent - Value: 600 to 1200
