RARE Hunter Arms & L.C. Smith Memorabilia, Here we have items from the personal collection of Mr. Albert Kraus Master engraver at the former Hunter Arms in Fulton, N.Y. from the late 1800's until c 1950, We have a documented letter stating that all of the following items were in the from Mr. Kraus personal items he used to engrave guns & draw, the list includes: his delicate engraving hammer with bulbous counterweight handle and tiny head stamped ''England'', Mr. Kruse used this hammer to engrave L.C. Smith shotguns for many years at Hunter, Item (2) is a small shield shaped watch FOB, appears to be made of silver and was also found in Mr. Kraus' tool chest from hunter, the FOB is delicately engraved with a Woodcock which was engraved by Mr. Kraus for his own use, we has three pencil sketches found in the personal engraving toolbox of Albert Kraus that are proposed engraving layouts for two Smith guns (1) shows detailed scroll and florals, and various geese. Its is about 5'' x 7'', shows pointers in the field and is marked ''Deluxe work'' and ''L.C. Smith''; and (2) about 4 1/2'' x 6'' shows detailed scrollwork and 3 partridges in flight and includes 3 alternative sketches of partridges flying, feeding and being flushed out. Plus engraving tools: other than the hammer, (2) a fine hand graver marked ''Sandoz'', and (3) another hand graver called a double line graver - with double points, (4) B&W photo of Smith Gunworks, (5) three letterheads & envelopes (two of witch have handwriting, (6) a colored self portrait of Mr. Kraus, (7) notarized two page letter authenticating all of this belonged to Mr. Kraus.
