Winchester, Model 1886 Lightweight TAKE-DOWN Rifle, CAL: 33 W.C.F., MFG: 1907, SN: 143588, Lever Action Rifle, 24'' Tapered round barrel, 1/2 mag., The original straight grip wood stocks are excellent, having been lightly sanded & nicely refinished. There remains a few minor handling marks or light contusions. The restored metal blue finish rates 90% coverage on barrel & rec, while the mag tube, forend cap, lever & hammer appear original. There is some remains of light pitting under the restored blue finish. The original finish on the take-down band behind the forend has worn gun metal gray. The barrel is fitted with a standard adjustable rear sight & special order N0. 4 Lyman ''Hunting'' half moon front sight, with an ivory bead. Bore is very good. Stock fitted with the original Winchester plastic shotgun buttplate, with top widow's peak. Smooth tight action. A nice looking take-down rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 2000 to 3500
