Winchester Model 88, CAL: 284 WIN, MFG: 1964-73, SN: 232019A, Lever Action Rifle, 22'' round tapered barrel. The caliber 284 WIN was the least produced of the late variation & is therefore the most sought after & higher priced of the Model 88 calibers. The original capped pistol grip & unique oak leaf & basket weave checkered wood stock is excellent, with very nice grain. There are very few handling marks to the original excellent finish. The original metal blue finish rates 85% on barrel lever & mag, 60% on receiver toning plum. Bore is excellent & bright. The barrel carries factory folding leaf rear & hooded front ramp sight. Factory Winchester & checkered buttplate. Correct factory mag. Factory sling swivels. A very nice original example & collectible in the rare 284 caliber. FFL Req. - Value: 1500 to 2500
