Marlin, Model 1893, .30-30, Cal. MFG. 1898, SN: 163196, Lever Action Rifle, 26'' Round barrel, Full mag. The original wood stocks are good & solid, having been sanded & re-oiled. There is some wood loss due to sanding, along with several small handling marks or contusions. There is a 1'' stress crack at the left front end of forend. The metal finish is a combination of gun metal gray & brown patina, with remnants of original blue in more protected areas. Bore is good, dark, with some roughness amongst strong rifling. The barrel carries a folding leaf rear & a tall blade front sights. Stock carries a crescent metal buttplate. Missing a screw on the left side of receiver & one on the belly of the receiver. Tight smooth action. A good old lever, that would make for a great vintage hunting rifle. Antique No FFL Req. - Value: 600 to 1000
